The therapy dogs are going to Oz!
Paws & Think, a charitable organization whose therapy dogs improve lives through the power of the human-dog connection, will hold its fourth annual Dogs Are Magic fundraiser Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Like many other events in 2020, this year’s extravaganza will be virtual and anyone from around the world can participate in the fun.
The theme this year is Wizard of Paws . . . because now, more than ever, there’s no place like home.
The virtual event will feature Patty Spitler of Pet Pals TV, Butler University mascot Blue IV, Race Car Driver Kristian João Aleixo, and Paws & Think’s very own Toto, Pipsqueak.
To register for free, go to https://qtego.net/qlink/pawsandthink. Paws & Think has teamed up with Qtego Auction Technology, a technology firm that provides a revolutionary charitable giving experience. You will be able to participate in our event with your tablet or computer as well as your mobile phone via our mobile website or by texting. Qtego's service will keep you informed of status updates and other announcements during the event.
When you sign up, look for The Toto Package. The pricing is $65 Early Bird until Sept. 25; $75 regular pricing through the day of the event. Only 100 packages are available.
No need to travel by twister: The Toto Package will transport you to Oz with a box of curated Wizard of Oz themed items that has everything you need to have a gala at home. It will be delivered to your door before the event, and each package includes a bottle of drink mix, a special gift, an item to add a little ambiance, a sweet treat, and supplies to learn a magic trick during the event. Each item has been hand-picked to fit the theme. There will be a wine/vodka pull, jewelry pull, silent auction, a yellow brick road game and more.
