IndyHumane offers youth and family activities

The weather is getting warmer, and now is a great time to get outside at the Humane Society of Indiana. IndyHumane offers multiple opportunities for you and your family to get outside with animals, with or without a pet of your own. The IndyHumane dog park on the northwest side of the shelter offers a full acre of green space where your dog can run freely. IndyHumane’s popular Summer Youth Camps still have spaces available for this summer. Campers can range from ages eight through 15, and kids ages 14-21 can apply to be camp counselors. Campers help volunteer with the animals, learn from IndyHumane’s knowledgeable staff, and more. There are several other youth programs available. If you want to hang out with some sweet animals either at the shelter or even in your own home, you can volunteer and foster with IndyHumane.

The shelter is located at 7929 Michigan Road, Indianapolis 46258. For more info, visit
