Nonessential pet care opens up

From Mike Thomas, owner of Noah's Animal Hospitals:

Let me start this update by hoping that each and every one of you and your families are weathering the on-going changes to our everyday lives. Our hospitals have been very fortunate, in that we’ve seen minimal impact from COVID-19. We are grateful that we can continue to be available for your pet’s healthcare needs. You’ve been extremely patient and understanding in how we’ve needed to adjust our services, and for that – we thank you. The GREAT news is that the Governor has lifted the non-emergency restrictions on veterinary services and we are now taking appointments for annual vaccines, spays & neuters, dental exams and cleanings, and yes…even nail trims! Here’s how we are continuing to ensure your safety, and the safety of our staff:

We are continuing curbside service. Call us when you arrive, and we will come out and get your pet. We’ll take your pet inside for an exam with the doctor, and then we’ll call you to discuss the treatment plan while you wait in your car. We promise to hold ourselves to the same standard of communication that we do when you are inside with us. We are making an exception in the case of euthanasia patients, to allow owners the be with their pets in our comfort room.

Now offering Telemedicine. You can talk to or video chat with a veterinarian anytime – anywhere, without ever leaving your home. Simply download the app, create your account and request a call. You can download the app from Google Play or the Apple Store.

Prescription Pick-Up & Delivery. We are looking at ways to make getting your pet’s medications easier. Talk with one of your helpful team members about car-side pickup or even having those medications mailed directly to your home.

All of our employees will continue to wear masks at all times, we are regularly cleaning all hospital surfaces multiple times per day and continuing hand washing before and after handling each pet. As always, if you are feeling ill, please stay home. Our staff will do the same. Appointment availability might vary by clinic, so please check with your Noah’s hospital for scheduling. All three of our 24/7 emergency hospitals have remained open during this time and will continue to offer curb side service as well. Our Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Care facility on Indy’s Southside is the home of Board-Certified Surgeon Dr. Joshua Bruce. For information about the types of surgeries Dr. Bruce performs, talk to your Veterinarian. Sincerely, Mike Thomas
