Pet Pals TV host Patty Spitler has a message for women everywhere: Do not put off getting your yearly mammogram!
Last December, Patty was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.
Fortunately, it was a small lump, which was removed, followed by four weeks of radiation. She is cancer-free now, but it was quite a scare to hear "the C word" because you always think it's going to happen to someone else.
"These past few months have been intense, frightening and exhausting," says Patty.
"Yup, I am now a Cancer Survivor and let me urge you . . . please get your yearly mammograms! Early detection is your key to saying 'Cancer Free'!"
