Lenny's Lend a Paw is a new Facebook group I created to connect cat volunteers with cat rescues. If anyone would like to help cats, they can post what they would like to do.
Some examples are foster, colony cat caretaker, transporter, shelter cleaner, volunteer at a pet store that has rescue cats up for adoption, and TNR. Cat rescues can post specific help needed, wish lists, and cats looking for homes. Only rescues are allowed to post adoptable kitties because they have the means to screen potential adopters.
In this group, people can learn to pitch in to trap-neuter-release neighborhood cats. That will take some of the burden off the cat rescues and get more cats spayed and neutered. People also can share ideas for fundraising and other ways to help the cats.
I hope this will create ways to help more kitties. Let us know how you want to help.
