In the wake of the flood…
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce that Grateful Rescue and Sanctuary in Muncie has to cancel this year’s Grate Tail Wagging Fest scheduled for Sept. 13.
Last month, our community experienced a devastating and historic flood. Morrow’s Meadow, the beloved home of our festival, was completely submerged.
We were notified by the park that the potential contaminants in the grass and soil remain a concern. Cleanup is underway but will not be completed in time for our festival.
The flood may have changed our plans, but it has not changed our mission—or our gratitude for this wonderful community.
Thank you for understanding, for supporting Grateful Rescue, and most of all, for loving these animals as much as we do.
We’ll wag our tails together again soon!
