I'm Marvin! Adopt me!

Marvin is a sweet senior who is friendly and playful.

Marvin is a 12-year-old, 12.5-pound Maltese/Yorkie mix with a gentle heart and soulful eyes. He was surrendered to the Johnson County Animal Shelter through no fault of his own—his previous owners were facing health challenges and could no longer care for him.

This sweet senior came to us in rough shape, with mats and knots covering his little body. Since his arrival, Marvin has been quiet, calm, and is friendly and playful. It’s clear he’s feeling a bit overwhelmed at the shelter—he tends to stick close to his people and finds comfort in their presence.

According to his previous family, Marvin is housetrained, enjoys car rides, and has done well with other dogs. He also has a soft spot for toys! Grooming and nail trims can make him a little nervous, but with patience and kindness, he’ll get through it just fine.

At his age, Marvin may benefit from a senior checkup to ensure he’s feeling his best and ready for this next chapter. He’s not asking for much—just a cozy home, a loving person to lean on, and a soft place to land.
