A Texas house cat did not merely reach old age. Creme Puff lived long enough to outlast generations of ordinary pets. Her record became almost difficult to comprehend.

Gloria, IndyZoo's iconic white rhino, dies
The Indianapolis Zoo has announced that it had to make a very tough decision recently. The zoo had to say goodbye to Gloria, a 47-year-old white rhinoceros who’s been a fixture in the Plains biome for the past 18 years. The zoo said Gloria’s health and mobility declined in recent weeks, and animal care staff noticed she had trouble moving within her habitat. 'Steve Sweitzer was one of a kind'
The world of Indiana broadcast journalism has suffered a profound loss. Steve Sweitzer, Chief Photographer at WISH-TV for many years, passed away May 21, 2026, after a brief illness. He was 76.
Steve also was a reporter, editor and videographer for Patty Spitler’s independent shows, “Pet Pals TV” and “Great Day TV,” where he did a popular segment called Steve’s Tech Talk. He was a close friend of Patty’s and many other WISH-TV associates through the years.

My story: How a rescue dog inspired a children's book
I first saw Jude on a social media site stating he was chasing their chickens. I rescued this miniature Schnauzer mix from the Hamilton County Humane Society seven days later. Jude was around 8 years old, homeless, shy, and had little confidence. Since rescuing him, his life has changed in so many ways!
