Every week, “Pet Pals TV” shares a fun, interesting, and informative story about our four-legged and furry friend population.

On the latest “Pet Pals TV” segment, host Patty Spitler and News 8’s Gina Glaros were joined by Emily Smith, manager of animal-assisted therapy at Eskenazi Health, and Lollipop, a therapy kitten with Eskenazi’s program.

Eskenazi’s animal therapy program has been using puppies to help its staff and patients in recovery, and just recently, they’ve introduced kittens into the program’s cast of characters.

Smith explains how the therapy program is implemented across the hospital, shares a little bit of Lollipop’s history, and details how the community can support the program and shelters in the community.

To learn more, watch the full interview and see cute little Lollipop!
