The votes are in and who’s the most popular TV personality in Indianapolis?
Patty Spitler!
The Indianapolis Star recently conducted a 2018 Best Things in Indianapolis poll online, where you could pick your favorite restaurants, music venues, sports personalities and more. Patty took the top spot in the "Best TV personality in Indianapolis" category.
“Holy crappola!!! I'm shocked . . . humbled . . . stunned . . . WOW!! Does this mean I
have to give everyone who voted for me a new car? Oh, wait, that's Oprah. I really don't know what to say. I was NOT expecting this at all. Thank you SO much to everyone who voted for me!” remarked Patty, who is host and executive producer at Great Day TV and Pet Pals TV, as seen on WISH TV.
Both shows are independently produced by Indy Audio Visual Productions in Indianapolis, owned by Executive Director Ramon Carrera.
Patty was a popular news anchor and entertainment reporter for WISH TV Indianapolis from 1982 to 2004, when she retired due to hearing loss.
There were 175,000 votes in 150 categories for Best Things in Indy. A winner’s reception will be held Sept. 27 where Patty will celebrate with a red-carpet check-in, drinks, appetizers and a Best Things Winner’s award. IndyStar also will publish a Winner’s Guide on Sunday, Sept. 30.
“I am deeply grateful for all the opportunities afforded me by the media in Indy,” says Patty. “And I hope to keep sharing positive, informative and entertaining TV stories with you for a million years . . . or more!”
