Kelsey Burton wins United Way award

Paws and Think executive director Kelsey Burton with therapy dog Pipsqueak.

Pet Pals TV is celebrating with one of our partners this week!

On Feb. 29, Kelsey Burton, executive director of the therapy dog organization Paws and Think, was selected Elevate Nonprofit Professional of the Year by United Way of Central Indiana.

Kelsey has been with the organization for four years.

“I’m beyond humbled to have won United Way's Elevate Nonprofit Professional of the Year,” she said. “I honestly wasn’t expecting to win, and I was quite emotional about it. I’m coming up on 20 years in the nonprofit sector, and this is one heck of a way to celebrate.

“I’m so proud of the work I do with Paws and Think and can’t wait to see how we continue to grow and positively impact our community!”
