Updated: Sep 6

Pit bulls are being euthanized because shelters are full. Pamela Terhune, of Grateful Rescue, tells Patty about Project Pit Stop, a plan to build special housing to keep more dogs safe on their journey to forever homes.

Pet therapy is an important part of recovery at Eskenazi Health. Meet a cancer patient who was able to better cope with her diagnosis thanks to a friendly little pup named Busy Bee! Barney Wood has the story.

Jane Rose, the founder and executive director of the Indy Great Pyrenees Rescue, and “pyr” foster Hillary Shaffer talk to Patty about what you should know about the breed before adopting one of these big dogs. You also get to meet Harrison and Junebug who share the rescue’s 25th anniversary story.
