Benson is a male Mini Rex who is 11 months old. He is a curious, energetic little guy with a HUGE personality and an even bigger heart. If something’s happening, he’s in it… and if nothing’s happening, he’ll make sure there is. This boy is always on the move — zooming, exploring, investigating, and binkying his way through life. He thrives with plenty of out-of-cage time to stretch, play, and satisfy his endless curiosity.

Meet Mabel, a senior female domestic shorthair mix at Misty Eyes Animal Center in Avon, Indiana.  This kitty is so sweet but right now is very scared. Sadly she had a loving owner but she got dementia and Mabel became homeless. She lived with another cat but they are not bonded. She is used to a quieter home.  

Kady is a smart and friendly girl, always up for showing affection and is eager to find her forever home. Kady is a people-lover, has a playful spirit and would be the perfect addition to a loving home. 

The Partners for Amimal Welfare Society is urgently looking for foster homes for rabbits and guinea pigs! These sweet little animals need safe, loving places to stay while they wait for their forever homes.

As animal shelters across the country face rising intake and capacity challenges, IndyHumane reported a 36% increase in adoptions in 2025, while expanding care for more animals in need across central Indiana. New year-over-year data show measurable progress in lifesaving outcomes, reunifications and access to care, even as stray intake rose significantly.

Evelyn is a sweet senior lady ready to spend her golden years in a loving home. She didn't have the easiest start and was pretty unsure when she first arrived at IndyHumane, but she has blossomed into a social girl who seeks out attention and happily soaks up gentle pets.

Stamos is a true heartbreaker! With his good looks and charming personality he is sure to make you swoon.   Stamos is a three-year-old terrier mix who weighs around 20 pounds. He is good with other dogs, and we believe he would do well with gentle children.

My Name is Sophia is a new “dogography” by Sophia Kipper-Prater, who has a lot to day about being rescued from a Missouri puppy mill and being spoiled by her dad, Craig Prater.
